Agree totally, engine dev' is a very odd thing to freeze, esp' considering that if one team has a far superior design then will they be faster/more reliable etc for 3 years!?!? Seems insane and I dont see where this idea came from. Maybe a 12mth freeze is kinda acceptable but still they could introduce things like stock brakes, cpu's etc to reduce costs, whilst aero regs can be altered as all the teams have massive wind tunnels anyway.
