What does AIR application install error "Error# 5100" mean ?

Submitted by Falken on

Sometimes when installing an AIR application, the installer refuses to proceed with the mysterious 'Error# 5100'.
This doesn't appear to be documented anywhere, but it actually means the temporary file space is full (i.e. /tmp/ on Linux).

Guess the 100meg cap on my tmpfs wasn't enough, eh :-)

It's true that this is one situation in which error 5100 is used, but it's not the only one. 5100 is actually a generic "install failed" code that's used in a variety of situations. Oliver Goldman | Adobe AIR Engineering

I'm not an expert by any means but I got this error code in linux and it was just because I was installing as a user that didn't have permission to install
