Paying for music
Submitted by Falken on Thu, 25/05/2006 - 19:24.I thought it would never happen.
I've written before (Well, I tried...) about the stupidity of on-line music sales, and how it
just became to much hassle (buy with iTunes, run each file through JHymn to turn the random file format into MP3's I can actually listen too), they didn't have what I wanted, or just deliberately broke the un-foobar'ing program I used to make their music usable.
Until this week, when all the who-har over allofmp3.com (and their alltunes.com client) being down for a weekend provoked me to try it.
It's just what I said I wanted way back (When is a computer not a computer ?). High-quality (the more I pay, the more it costs) plain-old MP3s, a huge catalogue of stuff
Should have walked to station
Submitted by Falken on Mon, 22/05/2006 - 09:10.I pumped up a front tyre at weekend because it was a bit low.
Flat this morning :-(
Changed now but next train 9.46 !
Hope work will be OK with this as it's still my first month.
Removing text from rrdtool
Submitted by Falken on Thu, 18/05/2006 - 12:57.Annoyed that people keep asking you about the stupid little message on the side of your rrdtool graphs ?
Worry, no more, just open up src/rrd_graph.c and head on over to line 1964 or there abouts (such for 'RRDTOOL' or 'logo').
Move the '*/' down to after the 'TOBI OETIKER");', like this:
/* rrdtool 'logo'
gfx_new_text( im->canvas,
im->ximg-7, 7,
&nbs

The Internet belongs to the bad guys
Submitted by Falken on Wed, 17/05/2006 - 20:49.Well that's it then.
The spammers have started running the people who try and keep the 'net safe out of town :-(
Guess our server will have to just bin 300-odd emails/day rather than reporting them.
