I tried to pay for my music, I really did.

I waited till a DRM-less version of Apple's iTunes came out and looked there. Only they don't seem to have much in the way of mostly memorable 80's hits. So I fired up a half decent P2P client and found the song I wanted stright away (Boy Meets Girl's 'Waiting for a star to fall', so you know).

Contary to popular retoric, it was the right file when played, arrived very quickly, and was even at a higher bitrate than Apple would have sold it to me if they could.

Oh well.

You'd think Apple would know what they are trying to acheive is impossible. I have the decryption keys and method in my posession (so I can play their music). Trying to stop me using those to decrypt the music I payed for so I can play it in the car isn't going to work - I (well, DVD Jon :-)) can just watch what their iTunes does and work from there.

Protocol tweaking games are so instant messaging a few years back. In the end AOL/ICQ etc. just gave up - it was causing more problems for their customers than it solved, hopefully Apple will see the light too.

Yay, got through to the website at 8:00 this morning and I passed my 1st exam, so 3 more to go before I become a Mrs R Chiverton (AICM Cert)

Just had paper copy throught that explains a Credit is like a Merit in music exams and I was only 5 marks away from a Discinction (sp). Now to study for the next exam in June!
