This ADSL lark...

... far too easy.
10 minutes to get unpacked and running.
Funky.

Just flashing router firmware tonight to enable custom port forwards which is the last thing that needs to be done before the server is moved at the weekend.

:points at cupboard.falkensweb.com :-)

Now, that is a nice email from a developer....

"1) Should be fixed in CVS now. I realised I was being an idiot." :-) Rar. Probably time I linked over to the CFEclipse plugin which has made Eclipse my IDE of choice over jEdit.

F1 rule changes

I don't watch F1 for it's speed, I watch it because it is the most technicaly advanced motorsport. I enjoy it being a fight between software engineers.

The 'pinnacle of motor sport' will now (well, post-2008) consist of cars less advanced than the road car (smaller engine, dumb ECU, no launch control etc) I'll be driving by then. Which is stupid.

I suspect I am in a minority though... bah. There's always touring cars, WRC or something I suppose.

Rar II

Zen ADSL order status:
Waiting for activation/appointment date from BT

That was quick ! About 5 days to go :-)
BT reckon on us being 'a long way' from the exchange, but still able to have upto 2Mbps. Oddness, hope it's OK because SDSL is *expensive*...

Rar

ADSL ordered w/Zen.
Dabs sending an ADSL/11g router.
Most boxes unpacked.
5.1 stereo/DVD player wired and working.
